Doone Roisin is a young, super talented content creator and business woman with a killer sense of style and access to the most amazing wardrobe. So we had a chat together about her love for handbags.

1. Describe Doone in 5 words.

Creative, Ambitious, Cheeky, Kind, Charismatic.

2. Your first handbag?

On my 21st birthday my mum gave me a purse which I adore! It’s a white, hard case, mother of pearl looking clutch bag she found in a thrift store – and it’s amazing. The first handbag that I bought for myself was the black Celine Trio purse. I was so excited because I’d saved up for it for so long and bought it in Paris on my birthday. It stayed my trusty sidekick for a number of years.

3. What’s your style?

My style can be pretty mixed depending on what I’m up to and what country I’m in. For work you could catch me in head to toe glam or the “I tried hard to look effortless” look, somedays I’m wearing the all black uniform and other days it’s cute gym gear. I love kitsch things, matching outfits, the colour pink or anything that sparkles. And sneakers!

4. Tell us about your first experience with Mon Purse?

My first Mon Purse experience was with Lana on LinkedIn – lol! Once we were connected we switched to email somewhere along the way and the rest is history… Lana’s a woman that I admire greatly so I’ve been really grateful to get to know her and follow her journey. Since then I’ve been lucky enough to have the special Mon Purse treatment in-store, in London’s Selfridges boutique. I was so excited going through the process of selecting a handbag to suit my London style – and having it customised on the spot. Monogramming is such an old craft. Which I love. Anything that’s done by hand feels special.

5. How do you feel when you give/receive a personalised gift?

A solid 10/10. For someone to take the time to make something – just for you – is a really nice feeling. The gift of making something with someone particular in mind gives me the warm and fuzzies.

6. Your relationship with your handbag?

When I find a new handbag that I love, I’ll use it everyday on repeat. I’m definitely not the kind of girl that likes to put baby in the corner. For me, a special bag is a statement piece and I like having something that’s a stand out rather than a blend in. It’s also got to be small and just carries the essentials – I’m the opposite of Mary Poppins.
